Where The Wild Things Are

Thank goodness I decided not to pick "Blogging every day." as my New Year's Resolution.

This is a series that I made during the late summer. During that time, I was so fascinated by the work of Nick Brandt that I caught the itch of heading out to find me some animals to shoot. However, being in the middle of the Midwest where the only wild animals were squirrels, possums, skunks and the occasional feral cat, I decided the best that I could do were animals of the caged variety. So, I headed to Lincoln Park zoo with a bunch of kids and made an afternoon out of it. Safari some day, but for now, hapless animals with nowhere to run will have to do.
